All City Buildings Closed Until Further Notice
Roseburg OR – Due to smoke hazards and poor air quality, all City of Roseburg buildings are closed until further notice. Starting today, September 14, 2020, City Hall, the Public Safety Center, and the Roseburg Public Library are closed to the public. All buildings will remain closed until it is safe for staff to return.
The current Air Quality Index (AQI) for Roseburg is considered hazardous, and City management are looking into options on mitigating smoke exposure while inside public buildings. Until then, the City urges all citizens to please stay indoors and avoid outdoor exposure.
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has issued helpful guidance on how to limit smoke exposure. Some of the following include:
- Drink plenty of water.
- Reduce the amount of time spent outdoors.
- Close all windows and doors in your home to keep indoor air clean.
- If you are feeling sick, call your doctor.
- Set your air conditioner to recirculate and use a HEPA filter.
