City Constructing ADA Improvements to Downtown
Roseburg, OR – The City of Roseburg, starting on May 1, 2020, will be constructing ADA upgrades to the downtown area. Improvements include installing new sidewalk curb ramps that are ADA compliant. Construction of the ramps is the latest project to improve pedestrian travel routes in the downtown area. The project is scheduled to be completed by July 7, 2020.
Approximately 22 curb ramps are to be installed on the following streets in downtown Roseburg:
- Mosher Avenue
- Lane Avenue
- Cass Avenue
- Sheridan Street
- Kane Street
- Pine Street
- Rose Street
- Stephens Street
Construction work will occur from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Motorists, who travel downtown, should exercise caution and drive slowly. Please obey flagger commands and signs during construction. Crosswalks, where the improvements are being made, will be temporarily closed to foot traffic.
