Roseburg Library’s Winter Reading Program

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Roseburg Public Library’s Winter Reading Program is a celebration of books for all ages.
The program, which is sponsored by Friends of the Roseburg Public Library, begins Monday, Dec. 1 and continues through Wednesday, Dec. 31. A Roseburg Public Library card is not required to participate. Instructions and forms are located on the library’s website at www.roseburgpubliclibrary.org. They also are available at the library.
The youth program consists of book review forms encouraging kids and teens to engage more deeply with their reading. Participants can write or draw about a book they read or that was read to them for a chance to win items displayed in the lobby’s glass case, and youth may submit as many reviews as they wish. Winners will be drawn randomly from all entries.
Grab-and-go craft kits will be available Tuesdays on Dec. 2, 16 and 30 beginning at 10 a.m. Kits are seasonally themed and vary in difficulty, but generally are aimed toward ages 5 to 12.
In-person storytimes and special events for youth are scheduled throughout the month. Visit the library website’s Events Calendar or the library’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/roseburglibrary for details.
Adults are invited to submit book reviews for a chance to win a $50 gift card to their choice of Yours Truly Bookshop or Sherm’s. Participants may submit as many reviews as they wish. Winners will be drawn randomly from all entries.
Happy winter reading!
