A City water crew repaired a water main that broke in a residential area early Monday morning and left about 30 water customers with low to no water pressure for several hours. A small section of Cherry Drive from Jefferson Street to Holly Avenue was closed until about 11:30 a.m. as crews worked to repair a water main that broke in front of 1152 N.W. Cherry Drive.

The Roseburg City Council will hold its first in-person meeting in more than a year on Monday, July 12, after the City ended most COVID-19 restrictions based on updated state guidelines.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Roseburg City Hall, 900 S.E. Douglas Ave.

Roseburg Fire Chief Monte Bryan swore in the new fire marshal and two new firefighters Thursday, July 1. Bryan welcomed Fire Marshal Brian Jewell and firefighters Eric Goodboe and Garrett Russell to the department at a swearing-in ceremony held Thursday morning.
Roseburg City Hall, the Public Safety Center and other City offices will be closed Monday, July 5, for the 4th of July Independence Day holiday. Roseburg Public Library will be closed Saturday, July 3, to accommodate the “United We Stand” parade.
