August 9 City Council Meeting to be Held via Zoom
ROSEBURG, OR –
Due to concerns related to the uptick in local COVID-19 cases, the City of Roseburg’s August 9 City Council meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.
According to City Manager Nikki Messenger, “We all prefer to hold City Council meetings in person, face to face. Given the recent explosion in local case numbers, it is prudent to return to virtual meetings in the short term. We will continue to monitor the situation with the hope of returning to the Council Chambers in the near future.”
To provide comment during virtual meetings, the public is asked to contact the City Recorder by phone (541-492-6866) or email (info@cityofroseburg.org) by 4:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. After providing their name, address, phone number and which item on the agenda they wish to speak, a link and phone number to the Council meeting will be provided. The citizen can then log or call in prior to the start of the meeting using the link or phone number provided.
Further information on providing comment during the City Council meetings can be found on the City’s website at https://www.cityofroseburg.org/your-government/mayor-council/council-agendas
