Boost your fitness with Zumba in the Park
ROSEBURG, Ore. – Zumba in the Park returns to Roseburg tonight!
Stewart Park is the place to burn calories on Wednesday evenings during free Zumba in the Park sessions from June 14 through August 30, thanks to the YMCA of Douglas County and Roseburg Parks and Recreation.
The YMCA and Roseburg Parks and Rec take the “work” out of workout by mixing low- and high-intensity moves in these interval-style, family friendly dance fitness parties. Y instructors will teach the high-energy cardio dance fitness classes to upbeat music every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the grass just west of the large pavilion.
“This class is a great opportunity to get outdoors, get a great workout and enjoy our parks all at the same time,” said Roseburg Parks and Recreation Program Manager Val Ligon. “We are excited to partner with the YMCA again this summer.”
Zumba is a dance fitness program developed by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez in the 1990s.
No registration is needed for the classes in Roseburg, but please arrive a few minutes early to sign in. Wear comfortable workout clothing and bring water.
