City buildings to close for holidays
ROSEBURG, Ore. – City buildings will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for the New Year holiday.
Roseburg City Hall at 900 SE Douglas Ave., the Roseburg Public Safety Center at 700 SE Douglas Ave., Roseburg Public Library at 1409 NE Diamond Lake Blvd., and other City buildings will be closed to the public on those days. Police and firefighters will continue to provide public safety throughout the holiday.
The library and other City buildings will be open on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31. Lobbies at City Hall and the Public Safety Center are normally open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. The library book drop will be open throughout the holiday closures.
The library’s Winter Reading Program runs through Tuesday, Dec. 31, with a chance to read for a free book. Grab-and-Go Craft Kits are available for kids every Tuesday except Christmas Eve on Dec. 24. For adults, the Silent Book Group will meet at the library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, to sit quietly together and read for 45 minutes, then discuss what everyone is reading. Bring your beverage and book.
