City officials take Oath of Office
ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Roseburg City Council will feature two new faces when the Council reconvenes on Monday, Jan. 13, to hear Mayor Larry Rich present the 2025 State of the City address at the first Council meeting of the year.
On Thursday, Jan. 2, City Recorder Amy Nytes administered the Oath of Office to Mayor Rich, who was re-elected in November; newly elected Councilors Katie Williams and Zack Weiss; and re-elected Councilors Andrea Zielinski and Tom Michalek.
All four open ward seats faced competition in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, General Election. Williams, owner of Stinky Dog Grooming, was elected to Ward 1. Weiss, who is also a downtown business owner, was elected to Ward 4. All four Councilors were elected to four-year terms that will end Dec. 31, 2028.
