Douglas Avenue road repairs to start
ROSEBURG, Ore. – Drivers should use caution and expect delays when road maintenance begins on Douglas Avenue in downtown Roseburg on Monday, Aug. 19.
The Roseburg Public Works Department has hired a contractor to replace six curb ramps on SE Douglas Avenue at Rose, Jackson and Main streets. The curb ramp replacements will be performed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Curb ramp work is expected to take about four weeks to complete.
The contractor will then begin overnight work on road base repairs on SE Douglas Avenue from Rose to Main streets. Road base repairs will be performed from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Mondays through Fridays and is expected to be completed in early October.
Pedestrians and drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through work zones. The City appreciates the public’s understanding and patience throughout the project.
