ROSEBURG, Ore. – Fir Grove Park Splash Pad will open Memorial Day Weekend – offering a cool oasis where you can escape the heat this summer!

Roseburg Parks and Recreation crews are getting ready to fill the system’s 4,000-gallon water tank so they can open the interactive spray park on Saturday, May 25.

“With opening day just around the corner, our parks crew have a lot going on behind the scenes to get the splash pad ready for operation,” said Roseburg Parks and Recreation Program Manager Val Ligon. “The splash pad is a great place for families to come and cool off during the hot summer months, and is a safe alternative to the river.”

The splash pad is a free seasonal offering open daily each summer from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to dusk. The splash pad is located just off Harvard Avenue behind the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, 1624 W. Harvard Ave. in Roseburg.

Shade is limited, so Parks and Recreation staff encourage residents to be prepared with sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.
