Roseburg dog park closed by flooding
ROSEBURG, Ore. – Roseburg’s dog park is closed after suffering severe damage from flooding by the South Umpqua River on Sunday, March 16.
The Happy Tails Dog Park at Templin Beach Park, 100 SE Templin St., will be closed at least temporarily. The fencing around the park was completely destroyed and the flood left water and debris in the park, said Roseburg Parks and Recreation Program Manager Val Ligon.
“The dog park at Templin Beach was destroyed by flooding,” she said.
Public Works crews are working throughout the community to assess damage from Sunday’s storm and determine priorities. Parks staff will consider options for reopening the dog park at a time still to be determined.
