Special Project Announcement: Diamond Lake Boulevard/OR 138E Design Concept Plan
ROSEBURG, Ore. – The City of Roseburg and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) are pleased to announce the Diamond Lake Boulevard/OR 138E Design Concept Plan.
With new housing and future growth expected along the Diamond Lake Boulevard corridor, ODOT and the City are taking action now to plan improvements so the corridor better serves all Roseburg residents and visitors, including people walking, biking, rolling, using transit and driving.
Between now and summer 2024, your input and involvement will help shape the design concept plan – our community’s blueprint for a safer, more convenient and accessible Diamond Lake Boulevard.
We encourage you to visit the project website, where you can:
- Learn more about the project’s purpose and timeline;
- Discover opportunities to get involved;
- Sign up for updates;
- Submit your comments and ideas for improving the corridor;
- Request a project briefing for your group or organization;
- Access online events and project documents as they become available.
You may qualify to receive payment for participating in certain activities as we develop the plan. ODOT’s Equitable Engagement Compensation Program (EECP) makes it easier for community members to participate in the planning process by offering payments to people who volunteer their time for project-related activities (individuals paid by their employer for participating do not qualify). Contact Thomas.Guevara@odot.oregon.gov for more information.
We are excited to launch this project and hear from the public over the coming months. Project-related questions should be directed to Roseburg Communications Specialist Suzanne Hurt at shurt@cityofroseburg.org, or Roseburg Senior Planner Mark Moffett at mmoffett@cityofroseburg.org.
