Storm pipe installation project Troost Street and Calkins Avenue
ROSEBURG, Ore. – Motorists should expect weekday delays and lane closures on Troost Street and Calkins Avenue this summer after contractors begin a storm drainage pipe installation project on Troost Street and Calkins Avenue next week.
Starting Monday, June 26, the project will involve installing about 1,100 linear feet of 36-inch and 24-inch diameter storm drainage pipe in Troost Street from Calkins Avenue to Witherspoon Avenue. The project also will include installation of about 800 linear feet of 12-inch diameter storm pipe in the 2100 block of Calkins Avenue.
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed in September.
The project will be funded out of $1,570,064 in American Rescue Plan Act money that was routed through the State Fiscal Recovery Fund for storm improvement projects.
During the construction project, there will be lane closures and detours to route vehicle traffic around the work zone. The City appreciates motorists’ understanding and patience throughout the project and asks drivers to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
