ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Roseburg Public Works Department advises motorists to expect brief delays and use extra caution if they encounter traffic signal work crews and flaggers at night in the next two weeks.

Oregon Department of Transportation electrical crews will replace eight traffic signal cabinets between the hours of 6 and 11 p.m. on four evenings. Flaggers will control traffic through intersections while traffic signals are turned off during the scheduled maintenance work.

Traffic signals will be turned off from 6 to 11 p.m. at these locations:

• Tuesday, May 17: Harvard Avenue at Stewart Park Drive, and Stephens Street at Newton Creek Road;

• Wednesday, May 18: Harvard Avenue at Umpqua Street, and Garden Valley Boulevard at Kline Street;

• Tuesday, May 24: Harvard Avenue at Keady Court, and Garden Valley Boulevard at Airport Road;

• Wednesday, May 25: Harvard Avenue at Stewart Parkway, and Garden Valley Boulevard at Goetz Street.

The City appreciates drivers’ understanding and patience, and asks motorists to use caution when traveling through the work zones.
