Q. - What are the park hours?
A- All of the parks in the City of Roseburg are open from one hour prior to sunrise till one hour after sunset. Park users and organizations that secure permits may use the parks until later in the evening. As an example, baseball and softball games and musical events may use the parks after sunset, if noted in their permits.

Q - What is the park rule regarding smoking/tobacco use?
A- The rule, effective January 2011, does not allow smoking or use of other tobacco products inside the boundaries of any City of Roseburg park, with the exception of the Stewart Park Golf Course. "Tobacco products" include any tobacco cigarette, cigar, pipe tobacco, smokeless tobacco, vaporizers, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, or any other form of tobacco that may be used for smoking, chewing, inhalation, or other means of ingestion.

Q - Can I bring alcohol to the park?
A - NO alcohol is allowed in the parks. Exceptions may be allowed for a special event if it is approved by the Roseburg City Manager.

Q - Do I need to reserve a park pavilion or ball field?
A - Reservations are not required, however in order to make sure that you have a facility available for your event it is wise to reserve early. Many of the picnic pavilions are reserved for special occasions throughout the year. The Parks and Recreation Division begins accepting reservations on the first business day in January for the current year, only.

Q - What do I need to know about reserving park facilities?
A - The City of Roseburg allows reservations of park facilities for private and organized events. To make a reservation you must contact the Parks & Recreation Division at 541-492-6730. Parks & Recreation Division personnel coordinate the dates and times facilities are available.

Q - What happens if I don't acquire my park permit?
A - If, within the 10 day reservation hold period, a park permit has not been acquired with the appropriate payment to the City Parks & Recreation Division, the reservation hold will be canceled and you will lose your park facility reservation.

Q - What does it cost to rent a facility?
A - Rental fee prices vary depending upon your choice of facility. Please call 541-492-6730 for current rates.

Q - May I bring my dog to a City park?
A - Dogs are allowed in city parks but they must remain on a leash, except for at the Happy Tails Dog Park. Dogs are not allowed at special events such as Music on the Half Shell concerts or Movies in the Park.
