Jury Service

Roseburg Municipal Court jurors are required to be  available to serve for one day a week during a calendar month.  While trials do vary in length, Roseburg Municipal Court cases average one day  and normally no more that one trial per month.

Potential jurors are selected at random from the latest Douglas County voter registration for City voters.

ORS 10.030 states, "Except as otherwise  specifically provided by statute, the opportunity for jury service shall  not be denied or limited on the basis of race, national origin, gender,  age, religious belief, income, occupation or any other factor that discriminates against a cognizable group in this state."
