Warming center closing early
Onward Roseburg Executive Director Kimetha Stallings, who operates the Roseburg Warming Center, said she won't open the center Monday through Wednesday nights based on weather forecasts.
Volunteers sought for warming center
Volunteers including kitchen helpers are sought to get the Roseburg Warming Center on its feet after returning this week to Winchester Avenue. Also, a shuttle will make a circuit each night starting at 5 p.m.
Relocated warming center to reopen
The Roseburg Warming Center will reopen Saturday night, March 4, through Thursday morning, March 9, after returning this week to a Winchester Avenue location.
Library to host Holocaust education program
Roseburg Library will host a Zoom program, “Resistance and Rescue During the Holocaust,” by the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education. The program will analyze the action and inaction of people confronted with systematic hatred toward others.
Warming center won’t reopen tonight
The Roseburg Warming Center will not reopen Wednesday, March 1. Efforts are underway to enable Onward Roseburg to open a temporary overnight warming shelter as soon as possible.
